Five houses planned for centre of Enfield approved by council
Plans to demolish a two-storey dwelling off Enfield's Main Street and build five houses on the site have been given the green light by Meath County Council.
In February, Greenshannon Developments Ltd was granted permission to refurbish and extend the existing red-brick two storey dwelling and build three new detached four-bedroom homes on a overall site of 0.69 hectares.
Construction is currently ongoing on the three new houses as part of that application.
However, a new planning application was submitted in September for a 0.43 hectares section of the site where the existing house is located.
Under the new application, Greenshannon Developments sought permission to demolish the existing house and build a residential development comprising one 5-bedroom detached house to replace the dwelling being demolished and the construction of four detached 4-bedroom dwellings, providing a total of five homes on the 0.43 site.
Access is proposed via the existing vehicular entrance off Main Street.
