Navan Comic Con returns with international stars and family fun

Navan Comic Con will return to the Newgrange Hotel this Sunday, 1st November, with special guests from the worlds of film, television and gaming.

The event, now in its third year, will feature appearances by actors Danny Webb and James Davies, alongside cosplay competitions, live guest talks and more than 40 tables of comics, collectibles and retro toys.

Danny Webb is known for his role as Morse in Alien 3 and has appeared in numerous film and television productions, including Game of Thrones spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Pennyworth, Humans, Valkyrie and Doctor Who. He has also voiced Drogan in the Warhammer games.

James Davies will travel from New Zealand for the event, marking his Irish debut appearance. He is known for playing the Black Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Beast Morphers.

Cosplay competitions for both adults and children will form part of the day's entertainment, with live talks from guests and other activities planned.

Everyone attending will receive free posters celebrating the guests' roles, created by Irish artists Madderdoit, who designed the Black Ranger poster, and Emma Robinson, whose artwork features Webb's roles in Morse and Alien 3.

With more than 40 tables offering comics, Pokémon cards, collectibles, retro toys and other items, the event aims to cater for fans of all ages.

Organisers describe Navan Comic Con as an inclusive, all-ages event, welcoming both long-time enthusiasts and those simply looking for a family day out.
