Meath LSP Women in Sport Leadership Programme open for applications
Closing date of Friday 23rd October
Meath Local Sports Partnership has opened applications for the Women in Sport Leadership Development Programme 2026, and is inviting clubs across the county to nominate women who would benefit from taking part.
This programme is designed to support women to build confidence, develop leadership skills, strengthen their voice within their club, and contribute positively to the sporting environment around them. We are particularly interested in women who show potential, commitment and a willingness to grow — even if they are not currently in a formal leadership role.
The type of participant we are seeking includes women who:
Are involved in your club as volunteers, parents, helpers, administrators or emerging leaders
Would like to build confidence and develop skills to take on future roles such as coaching, committee work or project leadership
Are passionate about contributing to their club and community
May not yet see themselves as leaders but have the potential to thrive with the right support
Are aged 18 years or older
Key Details:
Application Deadline: Friday 23rd October at 4pm
Course Fee: €50 (subsidised by Meath LSP under the Sport Ireland Dormant Accounts Fund measure)
We would greatly appreciate your support in identifying and encouraging suitable women within your club to apply. Your nomination can make a significant difference — many women simply need a nudge of confidence to take the first step.
Please also feel free to share this opportunity widely among your club’s contact base, including committees, coaching groups and volunteer networks.
Thank you for your continued support in strengthening female leadership within sport across Meath.
