Free bike repairs in Navan this weekend
As part of Climate Week 2026, The Navan Cycling Initiative is offering a free Bike Repair Clinic in Navan.
It will take place on Sunday 18th October in the heart of Navan on Kennedy Plaza (beside the bus stop), and is open to all.
If you've got a bike sitting in the shed with a flat tire, squeaky brakes, or a dropped chain their expert technician will run safety checks, adjust brakes, patch punctures, and get your bike running smoothly again.
Booking at at navancycling.ie is essential, as places will be limited.
Between rising fuel prices, higher public transport fares, and the daily headache of crawling through Navan's traffic, getting from A to B is costing us all more time and money than ever - and that’s even before worrying about climate change!
The free Bike Repair Clinic comes at a great time for the town. By next spring, the new Dublin Road scheme will be finished, giving residents in the Johnstown area a direct, safe, and fully segregated route right into the heart of Navan.
And the plan is to continue the improvements. More bike lanes and footpaths means more walking and cycling - which means less traffic, better health, and it’s a great way to do your bit to tackle climate change.
Bike repair clinics have proven to be hugely popular and a great way to bring your bike up to speed and get back on road.
Climate Action Week takes place from 12th to 18th October 2026 and is Ireland’s largest pop-up climate festival, showcasing the power of collective action.
Coordinated by An Taisce since 2017, on behalf of the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, #ClimateActionWeek brings together individuals, communities, organisations, and policymakers to tackle the climate crisis through creativity, collaboration and shared learning experiences.
