Woodie's staff and customers raised over €8,000 four charities

Woodie’s Heroes, Navan raise €8,018 for charity

Woodie’s staff in Navan are celebrating after raising an incredible €8,018 for four Irish children’s charities through this year’s Woodie’s Heroes campaign.

Thanks to the generosity of colleagues and customers in Meath, the funds raised locally will contribute to the national Woodie’s Heroes total and support Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland, ISPCC Childline, Down Syndrome Ireland and Cancer Fund for Children.

Woodie’s Heroes was established in 2015 and this year’s campaign raised €642,662.90 nationwide, bringing the total raised for Irish children’s charities since the campaign began to more than €5.3 million.

Each year, Woodie’s colleagues across the country select the four charities supported by the campaign. Funds raised through Woodie’s Heroes 2026 will be divided equally between the four charities, supporting vital services including assistance dog training and family support programmes, Childline’s confidential listening service for children and young people, early years speech and language support for children with Down syndrome, and emotional and therapeutic support for children and young people affected by cancer and their families.

Woodie’s CEO, Damien Dwyer, thanked colleagues, customers and suppliers for their continued support of Woodie’s Heroes and the four Irish children’s charities:

“As we mark the 12th year of Woodie’s Heroes, I’m incredibly proud of the continued commitment our colleagues show to supporting children and families across Ireland. Year after year, our teams, customers and suppliers come together to make a meaningful difference and reaching more than €5.3 million raised since 2015 is a fantastic reflection of that collective effort.

“The generosity and enthusiasm behind Woodie’s Heroes is something we can all be proud of, and I’d like to thank everyone who has helped make this year’s campaign another success. Together, we’re helping four incredible Irish children’s charities continue their vital work and making a positive difference in communities across Ireland.”
