Motorcyclist killed after collision with car in Dunboyne

A motorcyclist aged in his 50s has died following a collision with a car in Dunboyne earlier today.

Gardaí are investigating the fatal road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car which occurred on the R156 at Harlockstown, Dunboyne at approximately 12:15pm today, Saturday 3rd October 2026.

The motorcyclist, a male aged in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body was subsequently removed to Navan Mortuary.

The driver of the car, a female aged in her 70s, was uninjured.

The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and an incident room has been established at Ashbourne Garda Station.

A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, particularly anyone in the Harlockstown area between 12:00pm and 12:30pm, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to come forward.
