Search underway for the 2027 Meath Rose

The search is officially underway for the 2027 Meath Rose.

Applications have been released by Meath Rose Centre, giving any young woman aged 18 - 30 in Meath a chance to represent their county in the annual Rose of Tralee Festival. The festival, marking its 68th year, will take place in Tralee Co Kerry, in August 2027.

Meath Rose Centre have said that they are looking for applicants who are "passionate, confident and community minded", offering a chance to be a part of something special, with the "opportunity to make new friends, gain experience and create memories that last a lifetime."

Ella Bannon, 2025 Meath Rose from Trim, was 20 when she was chosen to represent her county in the competition. Upon recounting the experience, she says:

“To represent Meath has been such an honour. It is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. It really is an opportunity of a lifetime.”

She explains how the experience of being a Meath Rose has enriched her life in so many ways, creating memories and friendships that will last the test of time.

The 2026 Rose of Tralee Winner Caoilfhinn Ní Choiligh from Westmeath had described herself as ‘so grateful and proud’ to have had the experience of being a rose for her county and furthermore winning the overall competition.
