Bective and Drumbaragh fancied to clear first hurdle
Bective have plenty of positives to build on for the future and with a little more luck they might have found their way out of the group and into the quarter-finals rather than a relegation semi-final against Blackhall Gaels.
This clash will be a tight one to call and while Blackhall's games got tougher after their opening round draw they haven't shown much signs of improvement, whereas Bective seem to be progressing might just get out of danger at the first hurdle. Verdict - Bective.
Ballivor and Drumbaragh will both hope to secure their IFC status when the pair meet in Martry on Thursday at 8pm.
Ballivor were in a very competitive group with a new manager installed just before the start so it really is hard to gauge their form.
Drumbaragh were on the back foot straight away when they suffered a heavy defeat against newly promoted Clann na nGael in the first round and never really recovered. They might just have enough in reserve to edge this contest though. Verdict - Drumbaragh.
