Oasis spark Slane Castle speculation with cryptic video

Oasis have sent Irish fans into a frenzy after sharing a cryptic video which appears to show Liam Gallagher on stage at Slane Castle.

The short clip, posted to the band’s social media channels, shows a figure resembling Liam Gallagher from behind, standing on a stage with what appears to be the distinctive backdrop of the iconic venue.

While the location has not been officially confirmed, fans were quick to identify it as Slane Castle, with the comments beneath the post dominated by speculation about a possible return to Ireland.

The video comes amid growing rumours that Oasis are preparing to announce a new run of live dates.

The band confirmed this week that a major announcement is due on Monday, 14th September, at 4pm, following a drone display in Manchester which featured the Oasis logo and the date and time of the announcement.

Irish fans have been watching closely for signs of a return to Slane, where the Gallagher brothers have a significant history.

Oasis first played at the venue in 1995, when they appeared as support for R.E.M., before returning in 2009 to headline their own concert. That show took place just months before the band split.

The brothers' father Tommy Gallagher hails from nearby Duleek.

Rumours of a possible 2027 Slane concert have circulated in recent weeks, although neither Oasis nor Slane Castle has formally confirmed that the band will perform at the venue.

The latest video, however, has added fresh fuel to the speculation, with fans interpreting the apparent castle setting as a possible hint of what could be announced on Monday.
