Fontaines D.C. add second date at Slane Castle next June
Fontaines D.C. have announced a second concert at Slane Castle next summer due to demand.
The Dublin band will now play the Co Meath venue on Sunday 27 June 2027, the day after their previously announced show on Saturday 26 June.
Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach will also perform, with more acts still to be announced.
Announcing the additional date on Wednesday morning, Fontaines D.C. said tickets for the new show would be available through the pre-sale from 10am on Wednesday, with the general sale beginning at 10am on Thursday.
Following headline shows at the Reading, Leeds and Electric Picnic festivals over the weekend, Fontaines D.C. announced the huge Irish show at Slane Castle at their headline gig at Ireland's largest music and arts festival Electric Picnic over the weekend.
The band will follow in the footsteps of the likes of U2, Oasis, Madonna, David Bowie and The Rolling Stones as headliners at the legendary outdoor venue, and will be only the third ever Irish act to headline (after U2 and Thin Lizzy).
The news follows the recent announcement of Fontaines D.C.’s fifth studio album Dopamine Chamber, which will be released on 16th October via XL Recordings.
