Gracie Abrams secures second number one album with Daughter From Hell

US singer Gracie Abrams has secured her second number one record with Daughter From Hell, according to the Official Charts Company.
The 16-track record follows on from her chart-topping 2024 album The Secret Of Us, which is widely credited for her breakout success, and featured a collaboration with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Daughter From Hell was released on Friday and has already shot to the top of the charts, landing Abrams a hat-trick of top five records in the UK official albums chart.
It has also topped the UK vinyl albums chart for the most physical records sold.
The singer, 26, who is the daughter of film producer JJ Abrams and TV producer Katie McGrath, has previously said the album title references her rebellious teenage years.
Daughter From Hell is joined at the top of the charts by Michael Jackson’s compilation album The Essential, which sits at two.
Its chart success comes amid an ongoing resurgence of the late singer – nicknamed the King of Pop – sparked by the release of a biopic film depicting his life.
Following at number three is Olivia Rodrigo with her chart-topping album You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love, which landed her the biggest opening week of her career after its release last month.
Olivia Dean’s award-winning album The Art Of Loving sits at four while The Rolling Stones’ new record Foreign Tongues – which landed them their 15th number one album last week – has been pushed down to five.
Elsewhere on the official albums chart, Britpop band Oasis have crept into the top 20 with their 1995 album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?
The feat comes days after the record, which includes hits such as Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger, was named “the biggest studio album of all time” in the UK by the Official Charts Company.
Over on the singles chart, Sam Fender and Dean’s award-winning hit Rein Me In is enjoying an 18th non-consecutive week at the summit.
It has drawn level with Frankie Laine’s 1953 hit I Believe for the most weeks at number one.
This means Rein Me In is on track to break the record as the longest-running number one if it remains in the top spot next week.
Dai Dai by Shakira and Burna Boy – the official anthem of the 2026 Fifa World Cup – sits at number two one week after the football tournament concluded, with Spain crowned champions after a thrilling final match.
The top five is completed by Talk To You by Anotr/54 Ultra at three, Stupid Song by Rodrigo at four and Choosin’ Texas by Ella Langley at five.
