Drogheda Credit Union launches €15k Higher Education Scholarship Programme
Drogheda Credit Union has announced the launch of its new Higher Education Scholarship Programme, which will provide €15,000 in financial support to local students pursuing further and higher education opportunities.
The initiative will see 15 student members each receive a €1,000 scholarship to help support them on their educational journey. The scholarship is open to all students progressing or already in university, technological universities, PLC courses, apprenticeships and other recognised further education and training programmes.
Applications are now open and can be submitted online through the Drogheda Credit Union website. The closing date for entries is 28th August 2026.

The scholarship programme forms part of Drogheda Credit Union's wider commitment to community development, education and member support. Through its dedicated Community Budget, the credit union invests annually in a broad range of local initiatives, schools, sports clubs, community organisations and educational programmes across its common bond area, helping to create positive and lasting impacts within the communities it serves.
Eligible applicants for this scholarship must be members of Drogheda Credit Union and hold an active account. Winners will be selected through an independently supervised random draw from all eligible applications received.
