A fundraising Ladies Lunch in aid of the Special Hands Activity Group took place last Saturday, 25th April 2026, at the Darnley Lodge Hotel in Athboy.
A fashion show and guest talk from Bee Flanagan, an accredited Master Coach in Positive Wellbeing followed a prosecco reception and four-course lunch with wine, along with a raffle and disco rounding off what was an extremely enjoyable afternoon.
Special Hands Activity Group is a local voluntary charity supporting children and young adults with additional needs across County Meath. The organisation provides a wide range of activities, including swimming, baking, dance, tennis and therapeutic programmes, helping members build confidence, independence and social connections.
With over 200 families involved, the group relies heavily on fundraising events such as this to continue and expand its services.
