GALLERY: Colurful day at Fairyhouse for Ratoath College
The Ratoath College Colour Run fundraiser, for our Special Class was a huge success and will be remembered as a truly fantastic day for everyone involved. From start to finish, the event was filled with fun, laughter and an incredible sense of togetherness, showing the very best of our school and wider community.
Set in the amazing venue of Fairyhouse, participants were delighted with the abundance of space and the impressive surroundings. The race track itself proved to be a brilliant course, offering a safe, exciting and memorable experience for runners and walkers of all abilities. The atmosphere throughout the day was uplifting, energetic and full of positivity.
The community of Ratoath turned out in tremendous numbers to support the event, and their encouragement meant so much to students, staff and families alike. It was heartening to see local clubs, families and friends come together to support such a worthy cause, creating a real buzz and sense of pride throughout the day.
A huge thank you goes to Ger Conroy and his team for leading such an engaging warm-up with the crowd, ensuring everyone was energised and ready to go. The music and atmosphere were expertly handled by DJ Shane Smith from the amazing band Santoria, whose upbeat tunes added to the excitement and fun of the day.
Sincere thanks are also extended to the Guards for their support, as well as to our dedicated school SNAs, Teachers and Students, all of whom worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly. The Art Department deserves special praise for the fabulous signs that added colour and creativity to the course, while the PE Department and the Sports Council Volunteers were instrumental in organising and guiding participants throughout the run.
We are also very grateful to Rory Stories and Bee Flanagan for capturing the event and sharing it across social media, helping to spread the joy and highlight the wonderful community spirit on display. Thank you to the local clubs for their continued support and to everyone who contributed in any way, including the Cinnirí, whose involvement was greatly appreciated.
Ratoath College extended sincere thanks to everyone who took part, donated, supported, or helped organise the Colour Run.
The school described the fundraiser as an outstanding success that not only raised support for a meaningful cause but also strengthened the sense of community across Ratoath.
