Chalk Talk: Athboy CS Honour Roll students enjoy bowling reward trip
Students from Athboy Community School enjoyed a well-earned reward trip to Leisureplex Blanchardstown on April 16th, celebrating their place on the Semester 2 Honour Roll.
The day kicked off with bowling, where there was plenty of friendly competition and a few impressive strikes as the pins went flying. A bit of pool followed, with students showing off their skills and keeping the atmosphere light and fun throughout.
Afterwards, the group headed into Blanchardstown Centre for some lunch and time to relax and shop, rounding off a really enjoyable day out together.
The trip was organised by Miss Gallagher, with Miss Halligan, Mr Jonas Tremschnig and SNA Ms Bláthnaid Keely accompanying the students.
The Honour Roll forms an important part of Athboy CS’s Learning Code system, where students build an Asset Portfolio throughout the year. Assets are awarded for a wide range of achievements including hard work, class participation, kindness, improvement, creativity, respect, digital skills, sporting achievement and extra-curricular involvement. More sustained or significant accomplishments earn Citations and Superlatives, with the top 10% of each year group recognised on the Honour Roll each term.
A well-earned celebration for a group of students recognised for their consistent effort and positive school spirit.
