Chalk Talk St Oliver's Special: Friendships that last a lifetime

Carol Elliott (nee Harte) and I became lifelong friends when we started Junior Infants in St. Oliver’s back in 1977, and nearly 50 years later, we found ourselves reminiscing about our school days and digging out old photos.

There were so many milestones we shared from celebrating first holy communion and confirmation to playing in the recorder band with Ms Crowe, playing on the rounders team with Mr Ward and completing the Schools Cycle programme with Mr Nolan. There’s something very special about friendships that begin so early in life and stand the test of time.

Carol and I have definitely shared more than a few laughs reminiscing about our time in St. Oliver’s and those memories are just as special now as they were then.
