Mercy choirs perform choral concert

Schola St Joseph and the Tuesday Choir from St Joseph's Secondary School are hosting a concert of choral and vocal music in St Mary's Church of Ireland, on Wednesday, 6th May.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm, and consists of choral music, sacred and secular. Music from the English cathedral tradition, as well as the best of modern liturgical music by Irish and international composers, will be sung by the Schola.

The Tuesday Choir will sing a selection of pop music and songs from musicals. The concert reflects the diversity of talent found in Mercy Navan. Some senior students will also sing a selection of classical songs by Grieg, Handel and Fauré.

The funds from the concert go towards the refurbishment of the Choir Room in St Joseph’s Secondary School, giving a fresh, contemporary look with greater space, along with enhanced performance and rehearsal possibilities for generations of students to come. Admission is €10.
