World Autism Awareness coffee morning in Trim Castle Hotel tomorrow morning
Trim Castle Hotel will host a special Coffee Morning on World Autism Awareness Day with all donations going directly to Trim Autism Friendly Town.
Taking place tomorrow (Thursday 2nd April) from 10.30am to 12.30pm, the Coffee Morning is an opportunity for the local community to come together in support of autism awareness and inclusion.
The Trim Castle Hotel World Autism Awareness coffee morning is open to all, including families, community members and local businesses who wish to show their support.
The coffee morning will feature tea, coffee and a selection of colourful and tasty cupcakes and treats, with all voluntary donations supporting the ongoing work of Trim Autism Friendly Town in helping to make Trim town more accessible and welcoming for autistic individuals and their families.
Earlier this year, Trim Castle Hotel presented Trim Autism Friendly Town with a cheque for €1,400 from its Christmas Gingerbread Showcase in the hotel.
Darrell Penney, General Manager of Trim Castle Hotel, says the hotel is proud to continue supporting the local voluntary group through its World Autism Awareness Day Coffee Morning and is encouraging people to attend:
“We were delighted with the community’s support for our Christmas fundraiser for Trim Autism Friendly Town and through the World Autism Awareness Day, we want to build on that momentum. The Trim Castle Hotel coffee morning on 2nd April is another way for us to bring people together, raise awareness and show our ongoing support for creating a more inclusive community. We’re looking forward to welcoming families, the business community and our community representatives to a great event.”
Eimear Wright, a member of Trim Autism Friendly Town committee said: “Events like this are so important in helping to build awareness and understanding within our community. We are very grateful to the team at Trim Castle Hotel for their continued support and for providing a space where people can come together, connect and learn more about autism and the importance of an autism-friendly town. If you’re around on Thursday, join us for a coffee and treat all while supporting a very worthy cause.”
For people who can’t make the Trim Castle Hotel Coffee Morning, there will be custom cupcakes for sale in BoAnn Bistro during lunch with all donations going directly to the Trim Autism Friendly Town group.
Play Rentals by Conor Crinion will also be at the event. Their play units are thoughtfully designed to support children and young adults who require additional sensory input, helping them to enjoy celebrations and events in a way that works for them by providing a calm, engaging, and safe environment.
