Stuart Byrne’s try proved decisive as Navan secured a hard-earned victory over Old Belvedere on Friday evening at Balreask Old in the Leinster Metro League Div 7. Conor Cribbin Hayes’ well-struck penalty was also crucial.

Navan were dominant in their Leinster Women’s League Div 1 win over Balbriggan at Balreask Old. Shona White got Navan off the mark before tries from Aine Castle, Sharon Lynch and Emily Jo White earned the home side a comfortable 24-12 half-time advantage. Lauren Kelly’s try just after the restart kept Navan firmly in the driving seat. White set up Michelle Claffey for a try under the posts before a fine team move that was finished off with Sophia Murdock crossing the line capped a fantastic performance

Navan narrowly came out on top of a Titanic battle with Roscrea in the Leinster Women's League Div 6 at Balreask Old on Sunday. Louise Coyle had a moment of individual brilliance as she kicked through and jumped on the ball to score Navan’s first try. Sinead Ryan also crossed to put Navan ahead by 19-5 at half-time. Roscrea almost completed a stunning comeback in the second-half but Navan closed out well.

Tries from Niamh Callaghan, Shannon Mead, Mia Kavanagh and a brace from Alanna Kelly earned Navan a 27-0 half-time lead. Navan continued their dominance in the second-half with tries from Anna Marchant and Aoife White.

Craik slotted two conversions, a penalty and a drop goal. Craik scored one of four Navan tries while Rihan Faherty, Oshan Varney and Conor Goodwin also registered tries.
