O Bric's u-20s taking shape
12 members from last years u-20 squad that reached the Leinster Final will feature again for Cathal O Bric this year.
Cathal O Bric’s Meath will begin their Leinster u-20 FC campaign on Wednesday 25th March away to Carlow. Laois and Longford are also in Meath’s group which on paper looks rather favourable for O Bric and his squad of young Royals.
Meath will be aiming to reach a third successive Leinster final. They defeated Louth in 2024 before the same opposition got their revenge last April.
The Meath u-20 squad for 2026 features 12 players who were part of O Bric’s panel last year. They are Liam Jennings, Ben Corkery, Sam Jordan, Ciaran O’Hare, John Harkin, Michael McIvor, Cillian Yore, Sean Betson, Evan Kelly, John Gormley, Pat Crawley and Cian Commons.
The group also has six players from the minor squad that were defeated by Kildare in the All-Ireland tier MFC 2 final. Those six minor graduates are Eoghan McBrearty, Charlie Gallagher, Conall O’Sullivan, Stephen Cahill, Charlie Finnegan and Sean Delaney.
Meath will play Armagh away in their last challenge game on 7th March before the campaign begins.
