SEAI to host free home energy upgrade event in Ashbourne

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) are calling on homeowners to attend a free dedicated home energy upgrade event in Meath.
The event, taking place in The Pillo Hotel, Ashbourne on Saturday 7th March, is part of a nationwide series being held in partnership with SEAI and local SEAI Sustainable Energy communities (SEC) to raise awareness and educate homeowners on the benefits and availability of SEAI Home Energy Upgrade Grants.
This community-led event hosted by the Dublin Mid East Region SEC team, aims to educate homeowners on how they can avail of government grants to make their homes warmer and more energy efficient. Accelerating home energy upgrades is a key step in ensuring a sustainable energy future for communities across Ireland.
This year’s events come at a pivotal moment, following the recent announcement by Minister Darragh O’Brien of a major suite of new and enhanced SEAI grant supports under the National Residential Retrofit Plan 2026. These updates are designed to make home energy upgrades more affordable and accessible for homeowners.
Attendees will have the opportunity to receive practical information and advice on home energy upgrades and meet directly with local SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities (SEC), SEAI registered One Stop Shops and contractors, as well as local finance providers offering the Government’s low-cost Home Energy Upgrade Loan.

The Dublin Mid East Region SEC team supports Sustainable Energy Communities with mentoring and provides advice on developing energy management skills and knowledge across Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.
