Before court as result of Christmas Day incident

Two men before the court arising from what was stated as an incident on Christmas Day last, had their cases adjourned for a fortnight.

James Mooney (30) Johnstown Bridge, Enfield, Kildare and Patrick Mooney (39) Drumalee Court, Cavan were remanded for a fortnight to 27th January for the Director of Public Prosecutions to provide directions.

The pair appeared before Trim District Court in custody, Patrick via video link on Tuesday.

Court Presenter Sergeant Alan Ratcliffe said the prosecution was waiting directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

James Mooney is charged with burglary on 25th December at Johnstown House Hotel, Johnstown Estate, Johnstown, while Patrick with theft.

The men face further charges, Patrick for failing to appear in court, and James with thefts on separate dates in November last at SuperValu and Tesco Express in Enfield.
