Young Ratoath athletes sparkle in the mud of Abbotstown
National Uneven Ages Cross Country, took place in Abbotstown at the national cross country course Blanchardstown last weekend.
The mud filled course was tough going, very demanding and a real mental test for every runner.
Despite the challenging conditions, the athletes rose to the occasion, digging deep to gain vital points for their club, Meath and Leinster teams.
Among the many strong performances, another outstanding run from Lydia Jordan stood out as she finished in 4th position overall an incredible achievement on such a demanding course.
Lydia also finished the National even ages cross country two weeks ago in a medal position of sixth position.
Ratoath AC’s u-17 girls team also showed incredible teamwork and determination, pushing hard for one another. Their efforts were rewarded with a fantastic bronze medal for Ratoath in the club team competition well done to Ellen Sheridan, Grace Connell, Clodagh Reilly, Lily Flood and Kyla Marjara
