McCoy takes over at Tones
Shane McCoy has been appointed as manager of the Wolfe Tones SFC side for 2026.
Following the recent departure of Paddy Martin, Wolfe Tones have appointed Louth native Shane McCoy as their new SFC manager. Most recently, McCoy was manager of Meath Hill and, in 2024, guided them to an IFC title, which secured senior status for the club for the first time in their history.
Meath Hills 2025 SFC campaign ended in disappointment after they were relegated back to the IFC ranks. Shane will be joined by Ciaran Marks as coach, who most recently managed Cooley Kickhams.
During Paddy Martin’s three-year term, Wolfe Tones won the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta in 2023 & 2025, the Feis Cup in 2025 and reached the Meath SFC final in 2024. The Tones were favourites to lift the Keegan Cup in 2025 but they were beaten in the quarter-final by the 2024 champions Dunshaughlin.
