Johnstown Estate raises over €22,500 for Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation

The Johnstown Estate was transformed into a Halloween wonderland over the bank holiday weekend, hosting a sold-out Fancy Dress Charity Ball that raised an incredible €22,527.54 for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

Guests went all out for a night of frightful fun, live entertainment, and community spirit, all in support of a vital cause.

Through the Jack and Jill Foundation, vulnerable babies and young children with complex medical needs receive over 1,200 hours of in-home nursing care and respite support each week. This service allows families to care for their children at home and, for those at end of life, ensures they can pass peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

The event was organised by Niall Reilly, Leisure Club Manager at The Johnstown Estate, who said he was overwhelmed by the generosity shown on the night.

“We’re absolutely over the moon to share the results of our Fancy Dress Charity Ball,” said Niall. “To raise almost €23,000 is extraordinary, and it’s all thanks to the generosity and spirit of our guests, sponsors, and local supporters. These funds will make a real difference for families across Ireland, and we’re all proud to be part of something so meaningful.”

General Manager Guy Thompson praised both staff and supporters for making the Halloween fundraiser such a success.

“The Fancy Dress Charity Ball was a spectacular night of fancy dress, live music, and community spirit,” he said. “To see guests come together and raise such an incredible amount in one evening was truly heartwarming. A huge thank you to Niall Reilly — his enthusiasm, commitment, and creativity were key to bringing everyone together for a brilliant night in support of such a worthy cause.”

The Johnstown Estate continues to play an active role in community and charity initiatives and has also been named a finalist in this month’s Meath Business and Tourism Awards, recognising excellence and innovation in local enterprise.
