Development of 85 homes planned for Athboy Road, Trim
Plans for 85 new homes on a site adjacent to The Belfry estate on the Athboy Road in Trim have been submitted to Meath County Council.
Greenwalk Homes Limited is seeking permission for 73 houses made up of six two-bedroom homes, 64 three-bedroom homes and three four-bedroom homes which would all be two-storey. The planning applicaiotn also includes 12 apartments/duplex apartments in a three storey building made up of six group floor one-bedroom apartments and six three-bedroom duplex units above. All apartments/duplex units include a terrace/private amenity space.
Vehicular/pedestrian access is proposed from the Athboy Road (R154) via internal roads within ‘The Belfry’ and also included in the plans are 161 car parking spaces, bicycle storage, internal road and shared surface networks including pedestrian paths.
It is proposed that the open space of 0.491 hectares would integrate with the existing open space to the north within the Belfry. The plans include an outdoor play area and landscaped planting.
The 2.65 hectares site is bounded by The Belfry to the north, the rear of dwellings on the Kildalkey Road to the south, Talbot Court/Butterstream Gardens to the east and agricultural lands to the west.
