Stories on inspiring teachers sought

Dear sir - I am currently compiling stories about the impact of inspirational teachers for a book that will be published later this year by 'The Super Generation' in Dublin. The purpose of the book is to highlight the importance and impact of teachers' work on the lives of young people. We trust that it will be a resource that new and experienced teachers can refer to at times when they need to reflect on the true impact they have on the students they teach and these true stories will celebrate great teachers and appreciative students, providing lots of laughs, recalling poignant moments, and prompting memories. We have already gathered wonderful stories from people across a wide spectrum of Irish life, yet we still require additional anecdotes and it would be great if you could contribute. We would be delighted to receive a personal account of the impact of an outstanding teacher on you and hear about how you feel they have shaped your life and/ or career to date. To give you an idea of what we require, the stories vary in length from 300 to 1500 words. If you wish to contribute to this book, please send your contribution to me at wordstroker@hotmail.co.uk. Your assistance in this project would be greatly appreciated. Please follow this link to read Ruairi Quinn, TD's contribution as a sample on http://www.thesupergeneration.com/content/ruairi-quinns-story. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours, Lynne Nolan, The Super Generation, 35 Finglas Business Park, Tolka Valley Road, Finglas, Dublin 11.
