Navan Comedian Michael Fry returns to RTÉ comedy No Worries If Not
Navan's Michael Fry is set to return to RTÉ comedy No Worries If Not, as he will be joined by fellow show regulars Emma Doran, Justine Stafford, Killian Sundermann, and Seán Burke.
Fry and his fellow stars will be available to watch on Thursday, October 8, as the show will be RTÉ 2 and the RTÉ Player at 10:30pm.
Ireland is in a golden age for new comedy, so rather than trying to decide who should be in the show, the NWIN team just put in everyone they could fit. RIP the budget!
Regulars are in typically responsible form: Michael Fry destroys multiple lives over a dropped pint glass; Killian Sundermann pretends not to have heard of Incognito Mode; Justine Stafford takes Catwoman roleplay to its logical conclusion; Emma Doran punches a relative; and Seán Burke insults a baby. Other highlights include Pat Shortt teaching his real-life daughter Faye the family business of petty crime; Siobhán McSweeney getting more than her genealogy in Who (The F**k) Do You Think You Are?; and social media icon Madison Cawley coming face to face with the “straights” in Copper Face Jacks.
The show puts some of Ireland’s funniest women centre stage. Rachel Galvo delivers a tongue-in-cheek guide to South Dublin; Ali Fox plays the world’s worst midwife; Aoife Dunne faces a lie detector test; Hannah Mamalis takes puppetry too far; while Janine Harouni and a who’s who of Irish stars spill the tea on the female midlife crisis. Faye Shortt, Ally Ryan, Olivia Spuds, Meg Reilly, Emily Bradley also throw their toys into the pram, along with many more.
They’re joined by a host of rising comedians and online legends including Ross McCarney, Simon Hennessy, Ryan Carrick, Bernard Casey, Dany Swanton and Seamus Lehane, bringing us everything from Stone Age pornography to Gen Z brainrot.
Mark Bignell, RTÉ Commissioning Editor for Comedy, said: “We're thrilled that No Worries If Not is back for a brand-new series. Emma, Justine, Killian, Michael, Seán and the team return with more hilarious sketches, and this time they’re being joined by a gloriously gluttonous feast of exciting new comedy talent. This series is a brilliant showcase of just how much original, bold comedy there is bubbling up across the country right now. If this lineup is anything to go by, this series will be a riot.”
No Worries If Not is a Wonky Chair Media production, created by James Cotter, and written and directed by Ireland’s best up-and-coming creatives.
The six-part series of No Worries If Not returns to RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player tomorrow, Thursday 8 October at 10.30pm.
