Oldbridge Parklands and Cafe say goodbye to beloved feline friend Bubbles
Battle of the Boyne Visitor Centre said goodbye to a beloved member of their community yesterday when Bubbles the cat passed away. They posted to their Facebook page along with an array of photographs dedicated to Bubbles:
"It is with heavy hearts that we let visitors to Oldbridge Parklands and Cafe know that our little friend Bubbles the cat has made his final journey. He passed away today surrounded by his faithful colleagues and his sister, Squeak, none of whom wanted to let him go.
As a colleague, he greeted us in the mornings, waiting for his first meal of the day. After that he spent the day upstaging us, often lying at the feet of guides and looking for rubs from visitors. He knocked over milk jugs, appeared at various times of the day looking to be fed and generally enjoyed all the attention.
When spotted in places he shouldn’t be, he hid behind visitors to avoid a telling off. And boy did visitors love him. He received gifts, including beds, from all across the country.
He spent his long cat life winning everyone’s hearts over. Placid, friendly and always looking for cuddles, Bubbles passing has left a big hole in all our hearts today. Many tears have been shed and stories shared. We would like to thank all the staff at Allpets Veterinary Hospital for taking great care of him over the years."
