Oasis announce two-night return to Slane Castle
Oasis have ended months of feverish speculation by confirming they will return to the live stage in 2027 — including two concerts at Slane Castle on September 4th and 5th.
The SLane shows will form part of Oasis Live ’27, a 38-date tour taking in Scotland, England, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the United States and Ireland, subject to licence.
Richard Ashcroft will be special guest at all shows.
The announcement follows days of intense speculation after Oasis posted a cryptic video on their social-media channels over the weekend, prompting fans to search for clues about the band’s next move.
The Slane concerts will mark a major return to a venue that already holds a special place in Oasis history.
The band first played at Slane in 1995, when they appeared on the bill supporting R.E.M. The performance came as Oasis were beginning their rapid rise to international fame.
They returned to the castle as headliners in 2009, playing to a sell-out crowd of approximately 80,000 fans. The bill that year also featured The Prodigy, Kasabian, Glasvegas and The Blizzards.
The 2027 concerts will mark Oasis’ first return to Slane in 18 years and are expected to attract fans from across Ireland and beyond.
Slane Castle is already shaping up for a packed 2027 concert season, with Fontaines D.C. previously announced for two nights at the venue in June. Oasis’ September return will add another major international name to the castle’s calendar.
The announcement follows the Gallagher brothers’ hugely successful reunion, which saw Liam and Noel Gallagher return to the stage together after years of estrangement. The Oasis Live ’25 tour became a global cultural phenomenon, with more than 10 million fans from 158 countries reportedly queuing for tickets.
The band said:
“START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!!
“After a period of reflection ‘The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History’ has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people.
“Come witness the fitness.
“It shall be a sight to behold.”
