Ella excels to secure top grades
Ratoath College student Ella Garrett has achieved the maximum 625 points in her Leaving Certificate examinations.
Ella returned to the school with her parents, Patrick and Martina Garrett on Friday, 21 August, to collect her results and mark the end of her secondary-school journey.
It was an immensely proud moment for the Garrett family as Ella discovered that all her hard work had secured the highest possible points.
The talented student now hopes to study actuarial science and pursue a career as an actuary, putting her exceptional ability with numbers to very good use.
Her mother, Martina, proudly described Ella as a “mathematical genius” as the family celebrated her outstanding result.
Her father, Patrick, said he was extremely proud of his daughter.
“She worked hard and she deserves it. She learned what she had to learn, and it all worked out on the day,” he said.
For Ella, the 625 points represent the reward for all that hard work and discipline she showed throughout her senior cycle at Ratoath College.
Ella’s result was one of many achievements celebrated at Ratoath College on Friday. Sixth Year Moltóir (Year Head) Ursula Hynes said she felt “immense pride and a touch of sadness” as the class reached the end of its journey. While it was difficult to say goodbye after watching them grow into confident young adults, she was happy to see them do so well.
Deputy Principal Colm Connolly congratulated the Leaving Certificate Class of 2026, saying the students had all performed very well and that the school was delighted with their results.
As the Class of 2026 now looks towards college and whatever comes next, the students leave Ratoath College with the support of their proud teachers and families behind them.
