Dublin man remanded on bail for alleged blackmail and extortion

A 41-year-old man from Dublin was remanded on bail for alleged blackmail and extortion in Meath over two years ago.

Simon Gentles of Oakview Lawn, Hartstown appeared before Trim District Court on Tuesday charged with the offence at The Court, Luttrell Hall, Dunboyne on 1st February 2024.

The court was told the DPP directed that the case proceed by trial on indictment.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan put the matter back to July 16 for the preparation and service of the book of evidence.
