A holy show as nuns go on the run!
Three nights of St Mary's musical Sister Act already sold out
Did you come across a few nuns on the run around town last weekend, and wonder had they escaped from an enclosed order for the day? No need for alarm, it was the cast of 'Sister Act The Musical' by St Mary's Musical Society on tour to promote their show as opening night, Tuesday 21st April, draws near.
You’d be wrong if you thought it was all work and no play for these nuns as Deloris Van Cartier (Deirdre Murphy) seems to be leading them a little astray, much to the Mother Superior’s (Cora Doyle) dismay! When they are not tirelessly saying their prayers, raising their voices or practicing their fancy footwork it appears they are sneaking out of the convent and taking up some very unusual hobbies!
You can catch up with these sassy nuns in their home environment at Solstice Arts Centre between Tuesday 21st and Sunday 26th April, but the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shows are already sold out. Performances each night start at 7.30pm excluding Sunday 26th, which has an earlier starting time of 6.30pm.
