54 independent living units in Mornington proposed

A PLANNING application has been recently lodged with Meath County Council by Calmont Ventures Limited for the construction of 64 Independent Living Units at Donacarney Little, Mornington.

It includes 56 one and two-bedroom single storey and dormer semi-detached and terraced dwellings as well as eight one bedroom apartments and a community use ground floor unit in a two-storey building.

Vehicular access to the development is proposed via an existing access onto the Church Road (R150). The proposed development also provides for surface car parking, bin & bicycle storage, hard & soft landscaping, boundary treatments, vehicular and pedestrian site access, and all associated site development works.

The site of approximately 2.2Ha, in the townland of Mornington is located to the rear (west) of Star of the Sea Church and north of Maydenhayes housing estate. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) accompanies the planning application.
