Bowled over by the quality... Major upgrade works at Trim Bowling Green completed

Meath County Council has recently completed a major upgrade works at Trim Bowling Green at a cost of over €100,000.

The project, delivered in conjunction with Trim Aura Leisure Centre and Meath Bowling Club, included the full removal of the existing bowling surface and underlay, followed by the installation of a new high-quality playing surface.

Works completed included the installation of new tarmac laid to falls and in accordance with World Bowls tolerances, stage testing throughout the project and final surface testing to World Bowls standards.

Cllr Ronan Moore, Cathaoirleach of the Trim Municipal District said: “These upgrades represent an important investment in recreational facilities in Trim. The new surface will significantly improve the playing experience for users and ensures our bowling green meets the highest international standards. We are delighted to deliver this enhancement for the community.”

The upgraded facility is now ready for use and is expected to support increased participation and enjoyment for the Meath Bowling Club, local clubs and visitors alike.
