New monthly market event in Navan postponed

A brand-new monthly market in Navan that was planned to begin this Sunday (14th April) has been postponed until May.

Navan Makers' Market yesterday (10th April) said: "Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to postpone our first market until May.

"We heartily apologise to everyone who was going to take part in the event this weekend and hope we'll see you all again in May."

Navan Makers' Market hopes to feature roughly 15 eclectic stalls showcasing a mixture of food, arts and homemade crafts.

Speaking ahead of the postponement, Aoife Mac Namidhe, one of the organisers said: "Navan and surrounding towns in Meath has so much to offer, so much potential.

"This new market will not only give support to local crafters, but also bring the community together. This is the type of community-based event that we need."

"Entry to the market is free and there are toilets on site as well as Leon's Café which will offer tea, coffee and lunch.

"We will also have a sensory hour from 11am- 12pm. We feel it's important that all events are accessible to everyone."
