Reversal of traffic in Navan to take effect at end of January

As part of the Navan 2030 scheme, Bus Eireann services will be relocated to the new Bus Interchange on Kennedy Road

The reversal of traffic on Navan's Bridge Street and Ludlow Street will now take place on Sunday 28th January.

Meath Co Council has confirmed to local retailers and residents that the traffic flow reversal and the re-routing of buses to Kennedy Place will take place on the end of January date.

This follows engagement with representatives from the Navan businesses via the Meath Chamber which resulted in its delay until after the festive period.

The council says further communication will be issued prior to that date. As part of the traffic reversal operation, the Bus Eireann NX route from Dublin to Navan, 109 route from Dublin to Navan and Kells and Route 109A from Dublin airport to Navan and Kells will be relocated from the temporary bus stop on Abbey Road to the new Bus Interchange on Kennedy Road. Further bus services are to relocated shortly afterwards.

The Route NX services travelling from Dublin to Kennedy Place will continue onwards to the new Moathill (N51) Park and Ride and will terminate at that location. The NX services will commence services to Dublin at the Park & Ride, and then travel to Kennedy Place before travelling onwards to Dublin. In effect, the Moathill (N51) Park and Ride will be served by the NX services, and the 109 Services on the Kells Road (R147) at the Blackwater Retail Bus Stops. The Navan Town Bus Services (N1 and N2) will stop at the Beaufort House bus stops with services every 15 minutes during peak hours.

Bus timetable information is available for the 109 and N1 and N2 services via Bus Eireann and the NTA Journey Planner websites.
