53-house plan on Kentstown Road site

Plans for the demolition of two houses on the Kentstown Road in Navan, and the construction of 53 residential units on the site have been lodged with Meath County Council.

James and Goretti Donnelly are seeking planning permission for the demolition of two single storey dwellings and detached domestic garage and the construction of a residential development of 53 units consisting of one detached two-storey, 4 bedroom house; six semi-detached two-storey 4 bedroom houses; 15 semi-detached (end terrace) two-storey, 4 bedroom houses; three semi-detached (end terrace) two storey 3bedroom houses; 17 mid-terrace two-storey, 3 bedroom houses; three detached single-storey 3-bedroom houses; and four ground floor, 2-bedroom, duplex apartments, with four, 3-bedroom, duplex maisonettes above. A single storey bicycle store and bin store is proposed to serve duplex units.

Also included in the development is a vehicular entrance onto the R153 Kentstown Road and a pedestrian and cyclist-only entrance onto Old Athlumney Road, along with internal road and paths, parking, open spaces, landscaping, boundary treatment works, and all associated site works and services provision to facilitate the development. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development.
