Some of the finalists in the Meath Rose of Tralee gathered at Knightsbrook Hotel and Spa in Trim last week for a ‘getting to know you’ session.

Stage set for Meath Rose of Tralee final

The Meath Rose of Tralee entrants will gather at the Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort in Trim on Saturday night, 22nd April, for a night of entertainment, glamour and fun to find out who will represent Meath at the Dome in Tralee 2023.

Lyn Moloney, Meath Rose co-ordinator, said: "Our warmest welcome will be for our current Meath Rose, Meghan Byrne. Meghan’s strength of character, her determination to excel in all her commitments as Meath Rose and her warmth and generosity of spirit has been fantastic."

Master of ceremonies will be Ollie Turner from Galway FM, who has a long affiliation with the Rose of Tralee. Ollie is very experienced in interviewing the Roses and is looking forward to meeting them all on the night. There will be prizes for ‘Best dressed Lady’, Best Dressed Man and ‘Best Banner’, as well as a raffle, and lots of nice prizes to be won.

The event will be a life changing experience for one lucky rose, Lyn states.

"We would like to extend our appreciation to all our local sponsors and of course our hospitality sponsor, Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort. The applicants have been meeting for the past number of weeks and attended lots of events, inclusing a super team bonding day at Knightsbrook Hotel Spa & Golf Resort where the girls were treated to a spa day followed by nibbles and an opportunity to get to know each other."

The girl who is chosen as the 2023 Meath Rose will walk away with the coveted Meath sash to go on to represent Meath in the Dome in Tralee.

"The road to the dome is an incredible journey where we will visit some of Ireland’s most famous and symbolic, historic sporting and tourism landmarks in Wexford, Kildare and Meath, Offaly, Longford and Limerick," Lyn adds.

Roses from all over the world will descend in Tralee and experience the full extent of what the Rose of Tralee Festival is all about. This unique celebration, to be held over 10 days in Tralee, will offer the 32 Roses a wonderful experience together with a festival of fun for their families and friends.

Lyn says: "We invite anyone attending the Meath Rose to come along early - tickets will be available at the door and the night promises to be one to remember!"

Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 7.30pm sharp.
