Meath country star Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson to headline Slane Otherside Festival
A country star from Dunboyne has been revealed as one of the headline acts at this summer's Otherside Festival taking place at Rock Farm in Slane.
Country pop star Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson ( CMAT) who moved to Clonee and then to Dunboyne from Dublin as a youngster says she is delighted to be one of the headline acts at the only festival she will be playing at this year.
Taking to Instagram she added:
"Also important to note that it is in MY BELOVED county Meath," she adds, "so I assume that they will be giving me keys to the entire county..."
CMAT has been making waves in the music world recently as has been hailed as the one to watch from various industry publications.
Other headline acts due to take to the stage for the three-day festival running from July 7-9 include Bombay Bicycle Club and SBTRKT.
Creating three magical days and nights celebrating music, dance, comedy, conversation, wellness, food, and connection, the festival promises to be the music event of the summer.
Otherside has been described by organisers as "a voyage of discovery into the historical heart of Ireland, away from the daily grind and towards mischief and friendship."

Bombay Bicycle Club have continuously released earworms with singles like ‘Always Like This’, ‘Luna’, ‘Shuffle’, the list goes on to #1 albums and sell-out arenas. The band received rapturous responses at last year’s festivals. Also gracing the Otherside mainstage is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson aka CMAT - a pop phenomenon with charisma, style and sensational tunes. SBTRKT aka Aaron Jerome brings his amazing live performance and light show. Having remixed for heavyweights such as Radiohead and Underworld, Jerome likes the music to speak for itself.

An exponentially rising artist, Genesis Owusu released his soul-bearing debut ‘Smiling With No Teeth’ in 2021 receiving global acclaim. Danish native, Kölsch rewrites the rulebook on techno production, setting it on a melodic, emotion-induced course.
British-Japanese queen of the electronic underground Maya Jane Coles is an international DJ with over 3 million followers on Soundcloud alone! Tommy Lefroy is the soft rock project of London and LA-based songwriters Wynter Bethel and Tessa Mouzourakis. Juxtaposing biting lyrics with dreamscape vocals, to achieve their cinematic sound. La La is the alter-ego of Glaswegian DJ Lauren Andrew. Lauren’s sets showcase her off-the-cuff selections of classic and modern House music.
