Deane highlights 'dangerous' parking in Johnstown

Dangerous parking in Old Johnstown Village was highlighted at a meeting of Navan Municipal council last week.

Cllr Francis Deane called on Meath County Council to install double yellow lines in the village, directly opposite the Church, outside High Maintenance and Crew Barbers. “This is a health and safety issue as cars which park in the the area obstruct the traffic flow through the village,” he said.

There has been some very dangerous parking there and double yellow lines would make a big difference.” Cllr Deane was told the Council's Transportation Section will assess the area in question and make a decision on feasibility and funding availability.
