Tonic for the mind, body and soul at Bective Mill

Boyne Valley Vitality's new wellness festival takes place in Bective Mill on Sunday 5th June. By the stunning natural surroundings of the river Boyne the daytime event is set to offer a truly special experience with outdoor yoga, river swimming and specialist expert instructors in Wim Hof, fitness and mindset.

Instructors Aine Farrelly, Ciaran Clusker, Justin Whittaker, Amy Lawes, Rachel Darby, Stephanie MacSweeney host active fitness classes from HIIT to dance fit.

For a slower pace, instructors Sinead Duffy, Claire Reddy, Daryl Noonan, Cormac Noonan, Niamh Hughes, Louise Rayfus will provide classes focusing on Yoga, Pilates, breathing and mindfulness.

There will also be talks from Fiona Sherlock on creative writing and journaling, 'Mindfulness' by Carol Duffy, a workshop with Kirtan Devas and a discussion table hosted by Dan Glynn.

We’re delighted to also have Leo Daniel host a Wim Hof breathing session. Almost 20 different local instructors will be there, showcasing the classes they offer.

The Boyne Valley Vitality collective includes yoga teacher Sinead Duffy, the Hot Box Sauna and fellow Yoga teacher and PT Claire Reddy.

Festival founder and yoga teacher Sinead Duffy said: "The pandemic taught us to embrace the beauty of nature and how spending time in the great outdoors can improve our fitness and mood. We’re so excited to launch the festival, which will be a tonic for the mind, body and soul with fitness classes, thought-provoking workshops and the best local food and drink suppliers. Our aim is to uplift and renew you by banks of the river Boyne"

Luke, Hot Box Sauna, who will be offering sauna and hot tub sessions to ticketholders on the day, said: "Sauna and cold water plunge has so many benefits for body and mind, it’s a wonderful supplement to physical exercise."
