Funeral arrangements for Gary Reilly announced

Funeral arrangements have been announced for the late Gary Reilly of Crossakiel and Rahard, Kells, who died tragically on 5th May last while travelling from Blakesfield to Los Angeles in California, USA.

Friends of the former Ballinlough footballer and Kilskyre hurler had set up a Gofundme page online to raise funds for his repatriation, which brought in donations of over €56,000.

Aged 28, Gary was a member of a popular local family and the community and beyond is devastated by his death.

Son of Kevin and Carmel, and brother to Suzanna and her fiancé Brian, and uncle to his Godson Donnacha and niece Éala, Gary will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, aunts, uncles, cousins, GAA friends of many clubs, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

He is reposing at his home in Crossakiel on Sunday from 3pm to 7pm, with removal on Monday to Saint Alphonsus Ligouri Church, Kilskyre for funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
