Sculpture and art at Tara gallery

A little find at the base of the Hill of Tara is a gallery featuring the work of Grainne Rafter, sculptor and Anne Ingle Myles, painter.

Grainne runs Grainne Rafter Ceramics and Fine Art. Her work is hand built, comprising of sculpture of diverse themes and functional pieces. Form and texture are of great interest to her when developing designs. Sculpture offers her boundless freedom for experimentation and creative expression. pieces are all kiln fired and glazed, making them durable and allowing for a fantastic range of effects and colours. She designs indoor and outdoor pieces.

Anne has been painting and studying art for many years, using a diverse range of mediums, oils, pastel, and charcoal. The collection consists of beautiful works of art, paintings of horses, cafe scenes, and a large variety of floral scenes and portraits. Anne enjoys exploring the narrative of art and when painting portraits capturing the essence of a person’s character by immortalising their inner spirit.
