Meath go in search of another big scalp

Meath hurling manager Davy Gaughan and his selectors may go with the same team that defeated Westmeath a few weeks ago as they look to lower the colours of Dublin in the Leinster MHC quarter-final at Pairc Tailteann this evening, 7.30.

The young Royals caused a major shock when they defeated the Lake County by 2-16 to 0-18 at Cusack Park, Mullingar.

Joe Ennis was particularly prominent on that occasion for the winners as he scored 1-11, eight frees, while Dara Horan was also in the right place at the right time to grab Meath's other goal.

Manager Guaghan will know his team will need to once more produce a big performance if they are to overcome Dublin.

The evening promises to be warm and in such conditions fitness will be a major issue but with the Westmeath display behind Meath's confidence must be high - a welcome ally in a game that is sure to be a major test.
