Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort has scooped the 2021 Leinster Golfers Guide to Ireland Golf Resort of the Year award.

The award was handed over to Knightsbrook Golf Operations Executive Dominic Murray by Paddy McCarthy of the Golfers Guide to Ireland at a socially-distanced presentation.

"Our Golf Course at Knightsbrook is in keeping with the overall standards of the Retreat and is a Majestic Championship layout designed by Ryder Cup Legend, the late Christy O’Connor junior and built to USGA specifications," commented the Golf Operations Executive Dominic Murray.

"Knightsbrook Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is located 42 kilometres from Dublin City Centre in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East.

"The golf course boasts a challenging and creative course from which you can enjoy views over undulation fairways and testing greens whilst been intrigued by demanding water features.

"Whilst playing, one can now experience our newly-built limestone walled features that meander through holes four, six, eleven and 12," he added.

To help facilitate the game of golf for junior, senior ladies and men to play from appropriate yardage, new yellow tee boxes have been installed on all 18 holes.

The 200-year-old weir which is situated on the Knightsbrook River to the left-hand side of the fourth fairway has been enhanced.

Golfers and guests can now take a moment to enjoy the views of trout jumping on a nice summer’s evening.

"We are continually upgrading our bunkers on our championship course with capillary concrete to ensure the maximum playability at all times," added the Golf Operations Executive .
