First outing for Clancy's men

Trim man Timmy Clancy got down to the business of preparing Drogheda Utd for life in the League of Ireland Premier Division yesterday with a friendly win against First Division side Wexford at United Park.

Wexford featured Drumbaragh's Jimmy Corcoran between the posts for the second-half as both teams made lots of changes to give players game-time.

An own-goal was enough to give Drogheda a winning start to 2021 as Clancy gets set for his fourth season at the helm after taking the Louth side from the First Division last year as champions.

Meath players James Clarke, Luke Heeney and Brandon Bermingham all featured.
