Pat Martin on the scoreboard at Dundalk

Meath trainer Pat Martin had a welcome visit to the winners' enclosure at Dundalk this evening when Neyland landed a handicap.

The Martin-trained winner made progress over a furlong out and ran on well to get the better of another Meath-trained runner, Burning Lake, which is trained outside Navan by Joseph Murray.

"I always felt she’d get there, but it took a big effort on her behalf to do it, she’s very honest," commented Martin in a post-race interveiw with irishracing.com

It was a busy night for the trainer who had five runners.

Keeping up the Meath theme, Moynalty jockey Declan McDonogh landed the opener with the Paddy Hassett trained Maggie Thunder.

Colin Keane was also on the mark for trainer Ado McGuinness who had a double to go with the win in Qatar with the Ronan Whelan-partnered Bowerman,
