EuroMillions players in the town of Ratoath in Co. Meath are being urged to check their tickets today after one lucky ticket holder won the €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize in Tuesday night’s draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold yesterday (Tuesday 2nd February) in Spar Ratoath, Fairyhouse Road, Ratoath.

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for last night's draw were: 02, 07, 21, 29, 33.

The winning ticket holder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to get in touch with the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

Noel Conway and his family have owned the Spar store in Ratoath since 1977. The shop owner excitedly spoke of his delight at learning that one of his customers had won this life-changing prize: “I’ve worked in the shop since day one so it really is lovely to hear that one of our customers is waking up to the news that they are now half a million euro richer. We are a busy shop as we employ over 30 members of staff so I know there will be a great buzz around the store and community today. We hope that the lucky winner checks their ticket soon!”

While there were over 45,000 prize winners in Ireland in Tuesday night’s EuroMillions draw, there was no overall winner of the €41 million jackpot on offer.

The National Lottery are reminding players that a EuroMillions Mega Draw is taking place this Friday (5th February) which means that the jackpot is guaranteed to be €130 million.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “The EuroMillions community holds a special Mega Draw event a number of times a year and it always creates incredible excitement amongst our players. With the guaranteed jackpot of €130 million for Friday’s draw, we are advising our players to continue to follow the Government’s public health guidelines and avoid queues in retail by purchasing their tickets early in store or to play online at www.lottery.ie or through the National Lottery App.”
