Luke McNally has moved from Inchicore to Oxford

Enfield man for Oxford

Enfield man Luke McNally has made the move from Inchicore across the Irish Sea and signed for League One side Oxford Utd.

McNally continues the exodus of talent from the Royal County across the water as he follows in the footsteps of former League of Ireland players like Jamie McGrath (St Mirren/ St Pat's / Dundalk), Evan Ferguson (Brighton / Bohemian FC), Dylan Connolly (Bray/ Dundalk / St Mirren).

McNally, who had a season with Tim Clancy at Drogheda Utd on loan from St Pat's has signed a three-and-a-half deal with Oxford.

McNally featured prominently for Drogheda Utd in 2019, but returned to St Patrick's Athletic for the 2020 season.

He played regularly in defence for the Inchicore side in the Premier League last year.

“I’m really happy to have signed for Oxford United and I can’t wait to get going now," he told St Pat's TV.
